The Hauserman / Metropolis Award

The Hauserman / Metropolis Award, the first-ever award for books concerning the city, was launched in April of 2010 under the initiative of François-Denis Poitrinal, President of Clestra Hauserman Group.

The city has a story shaped by that of men. We lend it a sole, a heart, a spirit. It’s the site of modernity, of the avant-garde, of creation in all its forms.

A literary award is henceforth dedicated to him: the Hauserman / Metropolis Award. Awarded each year during the spring at the Orangerie Museum, the Hauserman / Metropolis Award distinguishes a book – novel, narrative, biography, essay, document, or book of art – that describes or envisions the city of tomorrow, today or of the future that has a metropolis, a city or an area at the center of its plot.
